HI there,
For the people who ride these kites, What is the difference between the 2007 to the 2008?
Also what is the advantage of using it with the 5th line?

thanks!

Not a big difference in these two kites..
The 5th line makes water relaunch easy, below the bar safety, and makes the kite turn quicker..

i have only flown the 08 9m and couldn't notice any difference to my 07 9. laid on top of each other the kites look the same.
the stitching on the 08 looks a bit stronger.

the 5th line is where you connect your handle pass leash if you are a girl

If you like fuels, 05 was a vintage year. You can pick them up in good condition for around 300 bucks. I've got 4 of them that I use heaps and they're all holding togerther quite nicely. Can't see the point of spending the extra grand myself.

Just put some pics of my newish 9m Fuel in the gallery. I ride the '07 in 15m & 11m, the my 9m is an '08.

Can't compare like size but the '08 seems very similar to the '07.

Fantastic kites - can't go wrong.

the 07 has 2 colours and the 08 has 3. Ridden the 07 and 08 and couldnt really tell the difference. I always ride with the 5th line for safety and the kite responds to 5th line tension when its starts to get a bit much.
Ive heard the only real difference is when you ride in 4 line mode as the 07 tends to jellyfish more than the 08.
Differences in 5th line tension give this kite more windrange than most people would expect.

i have never ridden a vegas but the 06 fuel in small sizes is a completely different shape to the 07/08. i have an 06 7m. the wingtips are really short (narrow) and i reckon the kite is twitchy and turns too fast for its size.
the fast turning is good for wave riding, you can easily crank it through turns with one hand unhooked, but the kite doesn't stay where you put it for long so you have to keep an eye on it constantly when riding down the line.
i would say go for an 05 or 07.

08 is claimed to be a stronger kite with the same flying characteristics of the 07 in a more hard wearing kite + you get an extra colour!!!
i think some of the materials are different like the bar grip and stuff but i dont know for sure as it's what a german told me and i just cant trust them

Now what kind of a comment is that about the German's? You need some wind mate, searching for pink kites and slagging Germans.
