its going to be a big if not impossible stuggle getting u both on kite. Your girlfriend would need a 9 max and your prolly a 12.

Definitely look at getting a bridled C kite, or more specifically an sle type. The rebels are great kite but prolly a bit difficult to relaunch as a beginner. The Flows a great beginner to advanced kite.

4 line c kite - least safe
5 line c kite - no differance in safety, except your more inclided to releash to safety because it doesnt creat a mess.
4 line bridled c kite - safest, but really depends on kite specifics. bar setup and bridle setup.

no pulleys so you get a direct bar feel
great depower

im personally going to be on the north vegas' this season
but im getting my dad onto the rebels (his learning)

12m would be your best 1 kite solution for you
and the 7m for your girl

theres plenty to pick and choose from though at the end of the day!

personally I wouldnt recommend the M80
but yes a 7m would be a good size for the lady
for you your probably looking at a 12m

try find a decent kite that is going to give you a good wind range
something like the north rebel (there reasonably priced too)

depends where you are over in WA i guess. I know fulltilt is a little south of perth
but thats about it. ask around cause im sures theres plenty of spots
