Hi Guys,

Possibly moving down your way this year for work. What are the kite beaches, as I don't want to live to far away.
Travel from the beach to the city isn't a problem as I do 1hr each way atm.

Any info would be great.

Cheers,

Hey, if you check out the SAKSA website you'll get a good map. If you choose any of the suburbs close to the beach then you can get to a kite beach within 5-10mins, even if your suburb is in the middle of a restricted beach area.

Ok, I am moving down at the end of June.
I have a 2010 10m Rebel & 2011 14m Rebel @ 90kgs - 3rd season kiting, freeride/freestyle.
Would these cover me for your wind? Or should I change my quiver (if you can call 2 kites a quiver)?
I know I could do a search on here for your seasons and predominant wind directions, but if someone could sum it up quickly it would be muchly appreciated. It is Friday.

Cheers,

Cam

Look on a map of Adelaide metro coast.
North along the coast from West Beach to North Haven will put you close to a lot of the Popular Kite beaches.
As stated in previous post. Saksa web site will show you where you can kite
10 and 14 is a good start.
June through to September the water is cool and a good wetsuit required.
Ask at the local kite shops or anywhere you see kiters.
S.A. kiters are a pretty friendly mob.
PM me for contact details, can give you more detail

A 9 - 12m or 7 - 10m depending on year, brand and experience is great for Adelaide. North is windier in summer and south has good waves. Welcome to Radelaide.

don't believe anything they say there are SHARKS everywhere and the joint is a rust bucket with 10 Billion in debt ( but a shiny new tiny Footy Oval and a hospital that is smaller than the old one) that's why I have fled to Italy and left the tossers holding the can, can you believe half of them brain dead morons still vote for my Labour Mates and some of them are no doubt kiters. Ciao

^^^ well that escalated quickly.
Funny, I was part of the design team for that oval

Cheers for the replies. Sounds like I might have to get smaller kite.

See you on the water. (After I become SAKA member)
