im new 2 kitesurfing but spent the last 3 years windsurfing at boggy lake so my experience is limited but i do know boggy lake.
the only skill u need 2 go there is 2 b able 2 go upwind as there is no beach 2 walk bak up.
also i wouldnt go alone as its in the middle of no where although usually someone there on weekends.
it has no waves just chop but its possible 2 get flat water on certain wind directions.
i really like boggy and will b goin there as soon as i can kite upwind which im sure is about 2 happen.
by the way 2 big plusses 4 boggy is no sharks and its quite shallow but deep enough. hope this some help

If you tack upwind there is a spot inside the reed beds which is butter smooth- awesome fun. The only obstacles at Boggy are star droppers, old cow troughs and barb wire. Really awesome spot though. As long as you can stay upwind all is good.
