As one of the older kiteboarders in this local community, I remember a cable ski park being planned for the still vacant block of land behind the servo on Tapley Hills Rd next to the airport. It was around the early eighties and made front page news on the Advertiser. Does anybody else remember it? I recently had a go on the Maroochydore ski park and used my twintip, it was great fun!
