Hi, I was wondering if I can use a training kite on the beach at Glenelg? It's two line 3 meter kite.

Kite flying has been banned by the council. Henley beach would be the closest and there would probably be other kiters there as well to give a hand.

Hi nks, it is illegal to fly a kite within 4km radius of an airport- stuntkite, kitesurfing kite, boxkite any kite. SAKSA has a permit in place for kitesurfing at Henley as long as you are a member it is ok within a specified area. Please be considerate and cautious of other beach users at any beach. Holdfast council has a blanket ban on kites on any beach in its jurisdiction, hence Glenelg is a no go zone as Andy pointed out.
