Hi All,

I'm flying from Hong Kong and renting a car to drive from Adelaine to Melbourne tomorrow.

I'm an expert kitesurfer and I'm dying to kite in Australia along the way.

Could somebody please help me with questions below: ?

1. Is this time of year this side of Australia have any wind? (adelaine -> Melbourne)
2. What is the wind direction during this time of year there?
3. What are my best options to kite between the above two points? (don't mind empty beaches, nature preserves etc. I have a gf with me to launch and land me )

4. how strong the wind is?
5. What size kites would I need?
6. How cold/warm water is now, do I need a wetsuit?


Again, I'm an expert ridder so I can launch anywhere where is access. But obviosly I want to respect local rules and will follow any guidance I can get heere.
Any good suggestions for spots are appreciated. I can stop anywhere along the way to ride, but if there are good spots I should look for that kind of info would make my life much easier. Also I would love to ride with local kitesurfers.

Not too sure on where to stay- people just roll out swags at 3rd ramp sometimes....(where the comp is) Wind is looking good for this saturday, maybe on sunday as well. Water at Robe will be cold- def wetsuit needed.

A 10 or 12 will be the common kite sizes - wind around 15-20 knots is the forecast.

There really is not much more to tell- the drive Adelaide to Melbourne is mainly inland but the Southeast (ie Robe) is not too far out of the way and probably your best bet for a ride.

And just a hint- tell anyone you are an expert or pro and expect everyone to take the piss out of you for as long as you stay......
