Hey,
Taking my mates yacht to the North coast of KI for 6 days over Easter . Anyone kited there much?
Best Spots?
Anyone tried Kiting the Bay of Shoals?- looks good on Google Earth!!
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey Muirs,
Sounds awesome.

True to its name, Bay of Shoals is fine for a board but very shallow in parts and not cool for a fixed keel yacht if that's your only mode of transport. Sharp rocks too as I've found out before.
North Coast mostly works in northerly breezes (but then it's horrid to sleep on a boat in it)...

Maybe try just a bit further south back down from Kingscote.

Cheers for the reply guys,
chap, your spot on with the northerly thing being a problem, we'll have to head for the marina at chrissy cove if a northerly
comes in but then we miss all the good kiting. I was hoping we could anchor outside bay of shoals and take the dinghy in with all the
kite gear in it and because its so enclosed it would be alright in offshore wind. maybe a high tide possibility anyway!
