Can anyone tell me who the schools/instructors are that offer lessons in metropolitan Adelaide and which ones have council approvals to operate off the beaches, appropriate insurance and IKO qualifications.

I seem to get a lot of people asking where they can learn and I just want to make sure I am sending them to the right people.

we have CASA, Council, SA Tourism, State Government and Surf Life Saving Association approval.

Kite instructors should be good kiters... who wants ordinary kiters teaching beginers!!! 50 million tickets dont mean ur good, just means u have laid down the coin to the rite organisations

Without wanting to get involved in the infighting, is there any out there that people could recomend?
I have heard good things about Red Baron, also the guy that works with Phil at the kite shop.
Any suggestions, constructive would be nice...

Agreed - without getting involved - and to provide factual feedback...
I have a good friend (female) that had a lesson with Guy from Red Baron and praised his teaching highly. She was impressed that when they saw a few of his previous students there, he was giving them some help and tips as well. Her lesson went longer, so she didn't miss out on instruction time because of it. She said she'd definitely recommend him - so just thought I'd pass it on. I've heard plenty of other general good feedback about him as well.
I've also heard general good feedback about Elements Kitboarding school and they helped organise/support the Chix Day which speaks highly, but no personal experience so won't comment further.

I don't have any factual or personal experience about others so won't comment - Other than Phil came running out into the water to help relaunch my kite one day when it was getting battered by waves at the Chicken shop, so that's the sort of guys they are.

As part of the the organising crew I can comment about the first CHIX day from personal experience.

All those mentioned plus others were sponsors of the CHIX event.

The two schools you mentioned, Red Baron and Elements were our "Primary kite educators" on the day as they coordinated, (as a team I might add) planned and delivered the teaching format, with the help of other instructors,to 41 participants.

Both Schools provided (volunteered) several instructors for our day.

Both schools provided their equipment to use free of charge .
This included Red Baron having their trailer full of equipment, elements with a van load of gear as well as the Red Baron "Rubber Ducky" rescue craft at the venue.

Inge from Elements & Laura from Red Baron were key players in the meetings and planning, well prior to the event day, leading in most areas, even down to the detail of CHIX logo artwork for the event........true volunteer dedication to the event.

If all businesses, (not just kiting related), could add this type of encouragement and enthusiasm to their field of endeavour they would be winners.

Kudos to the schools you mentioned Pilko.
