Just steer clear of the end of the jatty- some submerged pilons are just under the water- other than that it gets very shallow in some spots so just be a bit careful.

We are thinking of going sunday for a session- enjoy.

Wind Report - 0403914641. Phone that number and you will get the wind the second you call, direction and you can also state if you are intending to go down.

According to the Street Directory, I'm guessing anything with East will work. I could be wrong tho...... Will Chapman will know for sure.

Cheers

Hi Casey,

The above maps may help get the wind direction in perspective.

Also shows Pt Sturt, which is often touted for downwinders to Milang.

I'm a learner as well.
I have been to Milang several times, great for beginners like me.

Be aware that the low level of the lake has un earthed a lot of "lost" junk in the water and on the beach.

I was at Milang last Saturday (10 Jan).
We cleared several old, BROKEN (previously submerged) bottles, rusty bolts & cables from the beach area we set up on ( north end of the grassed area in front of what I think is a pumphouse.

In the water, directly in front of said pump station there are several large submerged rocks as well as a couple of decaying oil drums.

Check the new SAKSA forum site as the SA freestyle titles are 21 & 22nd Feb

I will be suggesting to the Organising crew that an area, well away from the Comp area, for newbies like myself to still have a go on that weekend.
