Hi,

Anyone keen to hit Milang Tuesday? 15-20 s/se. Direction looking better than Metro.

Thinking from around lunch time.

Hey Hobie, How did you go yesterday, are the water levels at a decent depth?

Cheers Croc

Hi,

Water levels are about the same. From the left hand side of the jetty about 50m out the water is around knee high. A little further out it gets a little deeper about waist deep.

Still pretty flat on the inside, good wind from around 12pm. 6 kiters enjoyed our time.

Star dropper has been marked with pvc tube. Thanks to whom ever did that.

The government say the tide is due in soon, I will believe it when I see it.

Still one of the best flat water (non tidal) places to kite.

Hope to see more of you there soon.

Danny, what's the taste and quality of the water like? The water is supposed to arrive in 5-6 weeks, so maybe the state freestyle champs could be back there again, as it was good fun last time. The lake level is going to rise by approx one metre, so better than nothing. Your new Trigger looked good at Seacliff the other day!

I tested the taste of the water several times!
And... Tastes about the same as last year...
But I have been swallowing quite a lot of seawater lately, so it was quite nice to have a change in water taste!

Water levels were fine. Good to crash out and be able to stand straight up.
Mud halfway up the calf, but not as muddy as the states last year.
Water level was slightly higher than it was during the states last year.

well maybe if the location has not been confirmed for states we could look at having it down at milang again, it was sick last year :)

All the water coming down the river is from the floods created by a cyclone off WA. Now another cyclone is heading our way and may dump a similay amount of water. Maybe this will be the year that the great lakes fill up again! I would love to do a Milang-Goolwa on a kite instead of a sailboard. I'm probaly dreaming!
