If you were better kiters you would know that once tuned up the 07 Rebel was one of the best kites going around- serious depower, strong upwind, stable(once it's tuned up) and fun. Fletch I have seen your kite fall out of the sky a couple of times.

Just keeping the playful banter going- The best kite is the one crew are happy on and that is different for everyone ! Some want depower and safety, fatties like me want static pull. Personal choice embrace it

north are still in the process of prototyping 08...lighter turning,lighter overall bar pressure,little bit more bottom end,small sizes will turn the same,but the larger sizes will have increased turning speed,and it wont be set up with a one pump system...release date is september...no photos as yet.

Bottom line is that the 07 Rebels were the best kites I have flown, we have been on them since their release and their stability, turning speed, bar pressure and most importantly top end is without measure.

I ride my 12m from 12 knot to 28 - 29 knots where as I always used to ride a full kite size smaller than the rest of the crew. if the crew were on a 12 I would use my 9m Boxer, now however it make little difference.

I don't rag on any kite, I will only report on a kite if I like it,.. these kites are magnificient especially for SA conditions which are gusty and variable.

The new ones are just tweeked up, thats all I ask. If you don't believe me check kiteforum for reviews too.

I have no photos yet, but will try and get some.

and btw I do buy my gear from onboard, just because they look after me and have great kites, what else could you want?

You boys should all get together on the beach and share a group hug- may not solve your differences but would feel good, lots of guys in tight rubber suits !!!

This is getting beyond a joke guys, it has been a couple of weeks now and no one has returned it yet. I would even settle for the bar off AG's demo kite it is about as long and just as black!!!!!!

Agree with you re summer, and never have complaints on SA which I have surfed, windsurfed and kitesurfed from Cactus to Robe year upon year and I haven't moved from the state, yet. Surfed and lived on the West coast of SA for 10 years and loved it.

sea breeze summer is 3 months however, and winter is gusty, no complaints as a flat kite regardless of the type makes SA a super sweet kiting spot IMO.

Oh yeah, okay, nice fishing, try a Rebel 12m in top end wind or a 9m in 30+ knots, oh I'm sort of taking the bait, yes, no..... I will resist it.

Looks like I will have some reports on the new Rebel and the New Cabrina Switchblade soon, I will have my hands on them in the not too distant maybe even in 2 weeks, wow, talk about anxiety!
