The lack of response is probably due more to not knowing where you intend to kite than not wishing to help
You will find most kiters more than willing to give you a hand and advice.
Just turn up on your local and make yourself known as a newbie.
Observe the locals and ask questions. You will soon find yourself more than enough mentors to further your skills
