Hi Guys,

Looking at going to Normanville for this long weekend. Wondering if i need to pack to kite or not? What wind works best there? are there better spots to go?

Not real familiar with the beach set up. I know whee the jetty surf club is and thats about it.

Thanks for any info you can share.

Take your kite just in case but the weather doesn't look great....Northerlies are the pick at Normy and around the jetty is where I usually ride, there is a really fun little shore break that jacks up in stormy nw'ers- hope ya score !

About a year ago, my family and myself, were invited to a beach house at Normanville, and it blew offshore for 3 days straight, from the southeast! Very frustrating as it was on EVERY day at Kent street reserve, at Victor Harbor. This weekends forecast looks very similar, but my kite didn't make it out of the back of the car.(Had to do the right thing and stay with our friends at Normanville). If you surf, take a board, as you can get some great surfing off the point at Lady Bay, if there is a swell in the gulf.

If you hunt around Dazza's site, you should find some good pics of kiting at Normanville.

If I drive to normy and it's on back at Kent (victor harbor) I may be pissed. Might just postpone the trip for one day.
