ok water to the end of the channel is 1m high ,no water would be .7 down .
2 hours before high tide is when the water normally reaches the end of the channel . low and high pressures can change the lot aswell , low pressure makes the tide higher etc.
And to all the people who go to Parham please respect the locals (residents) and give them room.
cheers Tim

Hi Waydo,

It depends on how far you want to walk

The well experienced parham users (way more than me), usually aim for 0.6mtrs or better.

I have kited on a 0.2mtr tide. I read the tide movement backward and arrived as the place drained down to seaweed and mud farming.....interesting

If you ride a finnless board or skim board you could probably kite on almost any tide.

A couple of the regulars pump up their kites, walk them (inverted) out to the poles sandbar area, then rig and launch.

Just don't get caught by the incoming tide while trying to rig

Cheers

Parham Saturday?

I have work all week and missed the best session for ages.

I'm happy to drive almost anywhere to have a ride.

Help me please.

hey waydo, you're not determined enough, read the comment part on this one:

PS.

Parham does look good tomorrow compared to metro (Sat 26/03/2011):
(but only after 4.30-5pm if walking to the water is not your thing):
