with these average metro coast winds - has Parham been cranking?

Obviously tide dependant, but is it as has been suggested 10knots windier out there?

Yeah, we went there Saturday arvo, it was sunny and around 18-20knots for a while. Later (about 5-5.30pm?) big clouds came and the wind dropped to 10-12kts just as we were about to finish anyway.

I only started going to Parham about 6 months ago, but from what I've read on this forum last year, the seabrezes in spring and early summer seem to be stronger at Parham then on the metro beaches:

but it was gusting over 20 on northern metro beaches until dark. With the whole northern beaches being windier, my theory is that evening south easterlys on southern beaches confine seabreeze and make it stronger on northern beaches. This prob applies to Parham. If you watch the weather obs on a typical seabreeze. When the wind goes se at the airport, it usually is at its strongest s-ssw at the black pole within half an hr to an hr after

... not according to the Outer Harbour wind records.
The wind between 3.30pm and 7.00pm was 12-14knots with the highest recorded gust of 18 knots...

Are you talking Sat or Sun? I was talking about Sat.
