Wind on Tuesday 21st looks like it might swing SSE late in the evening.

Anyone kited in these conditions before?

Usually when I check the forecast and it states SSE it is usually SSW at parham. I guess I will have to head down and check it out first.

Southerly is usually fine because the water gets quite shallow down towards the proof range. If there is two much east in it I think I will head home.

Any thoughts? Will probably b there about 6.30pm.

Gday SpawnofFossl

I went out yesterday monday the 20th and it was a cranking south westerly, no hint of east, like the metro south easterly forecast.

So I agree with your call SSE converts to SSW at parham

Yeah I went out to pazz tonight and it was blowing about 25knts. Decided against it on my own out there on a 12m. If your heading out again Lang send us a PM the night before and i'll chuck the gear in the car.

It was really choppy with the 1.7m tide, how was it Monday night?

I'm really keen to get up there and give it a go. Always driven past on my way to the west coasts!

Just waiting for my new kites to come through and I'll be up there. Is it consistent in the winter? I will have a 10.5 and 8 so need some good wind to get me there!

Cheers!

I recon it was atleast 25knts Monday night, had my 8m fairly depowerd, if it was like that tonight good call on not putting up a 12m.

I actually had some trouble with the high tide, had to self launch with all that seaweed on the beach. The seaweed got caught in the front lines where they run through a depower thingamygig a third of the way to the kite. What a hassle, I am going back to self launching of the tow ball at parham. Someone else put me onto that move at parham.

Yes it was choppy Monday night as well.

Fair chance I will be out at parham Thursday after work, probably around 6:00. Looks like a hot enough day for a seabreeze.
