Anyone got any advice on good spots to kite in Port Lincoln?
I'm going through there by car in a few weeks on the way to coffins, then doing a yacht trip to lincoln for two weeks over new years. The boat trip will probably be limited to the bay side, but we can visit any island between adelaide and there no probs. The issue we've found with the yacht on previous trips to K.I and Yorkes is that good anchorages have offshore winds and are no good for kiting.
We have a 4wd for the trip in a couple weeks so no worries in the nat. park.

Thanks waxman, I will be heading over there around new years to Kite and Windsurf between ceduna and Port Lincoln so was interested to see what people had to say about the area...

Not real keen on the number of shark tourists though. Baiting up the water to catch a glimpse of the great white is bad news for the rest of us.

Also, probably a stupid question, but what about that salt lake thing between lincoln and the nat park?

I'm heading back down the coast around the 15th of december, there is always good kiting there wether you like flat or surf you will find people the whole way along the coast that kite, right up to Ceduna and beyond. The Ceduna crew are only new to the sport but are a great bunch of guys that are stoked on the sport.

If you find a spot that looks good to kite give it a go. Don't worry about the sharks they only eat surfers.
