Was thinking about doing some sort of trip on the October long weekend. Leave early Saturday morn and come back on Monday arvo.
Not sure on where to go yet. Was thinking Robe, Victor or Portland in Victoria. Either way, all 3 are guaranteed for wind almost, especially Portland!!!
I've got 3 spare seats in my car and can fit around 3 kites plus gear per person so if anyone is keen let me know.
Need to test out the new REVS that should be coming in this week and want to go looking for some waves!!!
i reakon i might be keen. Have to consult the diary, and check the cash flow. I grew up around the southeast, but don't depend on me for local knowledge, but i know a local or two.
i have heard that port Mac is alright too, for flat water behind the groin and waves outside. still have to tighten the purse strings so not promising anything yet.
....and to add to the complication i have a weeks holiday this week and the weather is sensational.... I probably won't need to go to soothe my If i was working this week it'd be a different story.......... hang on.......... new kites??? what cha gettin??? my most modern kite is an X4 (with an old wave tray to match), but it goes alright in the right conditions.
Perhaps if you feel like a trip to "yorkes" (some of the adelaide crew had a great weekend over here just gone) i could easily manage that!!! plus you could hang off a bit for the new kites if they come saturday. Got the parents place at port Vic (free accom) and some good spots near there.
well my weekend is knackered. on the down side the wind will be relenting this weekend, and on the upside my missus and our son come back from a two week holiday (a week early)so i'm not going anywhere this weekend. Sorry Jordy, hope you find some company. If you want to do a weekender to yorkes sometime or a day trip let me know. col.
