SAKSA Wave titles 2015 (june 19th onwards)

The time has come where layers of neoprene have become our best friend again, and with winter kicking off this week, the swells and winter winds have started to show their faces. This means it is time to store away those twintips, and grab your freshly waxed sticks to kite some of the long awaited winter swells!

SAKSA is yet again organising the State wave titles. Like most years, the event will happen across a 4 week window, starting from the 19th of June, with the competition kicking off on the first weekend that both the wind and swell line up to run the event. Location is to be advised 2 days before the event, but will be either on the mid coast or Middleton.

Signup is ONLINE only, and you must be signed up by 8pm on the Thursday before the event. There will be NO sign ups on the day. This will make it a quick process on the day, meaning we can get in the water earlier, can have more fun, and most importantly are not missing out on time in which we can run the comp. You will need to be a KA/SAKSA member to enter

Cost $60, this Includes competition entry, bbq, soft drinks and event hoody.

Masters
Legends

Of course SAKSA is all about having fun, so whether you are just playing with the idea of riding in the waves on a twinnie, have just picked up a surfboard and are keen to give it a try, or have perfected your wave riding skills over the years and are ready to show off your awesomeness, it would be great to see you all along!

SAKSA State Waves Titles Update -

Hey crew just the heads up that the Wave Titles will not be going ahead this weekend. Although it looks like there will be a bit of wind around it will be off shore at Middleton and based on the Commissioners predictions (Dazza) we don't believe there will be much swell on the mid. Check back here next Wednesday for further updates on the conditions for next weekend.

Has anybody checked out the forecast for this Saturday? Looks sensational and would the comp organizers ever consider Seacliff?

STATE TITLES - GREEN LIGHT (9:30am Sunday 12th July, Location TBA)

So the SAKSA Committee has conferred and based on the advice of the Commissioner (Razzle Dazzle) we will run the State Waves this Sunday.

Location is still to be decided however will be either Rose St Middleton or at Moana based on conditions closer to the event. Check back here on Saturday after 6pm where we will post the location.

Briefing will be held at 9:30am on the dot so please make sure your there on time.

REMINDER: ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY AND REGO WILL BE CUT OFF BY MIDDAY SATURDAY. DO NOT EXPECT TO ROLL UP SUNDAY AND SIGN UP THERE AND THEN, YOU WILL MISS OUT. Although this seems harsh we need to be strict on this crew as it allows us to come prepared with heats pre arranged and will make for a much smoother start to the day.

Finally this event is a fun wave riding event. Its aimed at all level of riders and we encourage those new to the sport to come along and participate. Without u guys getting behind these events they really wouldn't happen. So jump on the phones, razz up ur mates and we will see you all Sunday!
