Hey all. Ive been researching on putting boots on my board and have asked a few people who have tried boots that kite in both ocean chop and flat water and have decided against boots as there not really suitable for both and not interested in riding 2 different board setups. But today i stumbled apon Slingshots 2012 Joint bindings which is a combo of both boots and straps. Just throwing it out there if anyone is using these yet or has had the chance to demo a set? Look at the link below to check them out. Im really keen on demoing a set for my self if not just lashing out and getting them and ill let everyone know my opinion.

Hey Mate,
Will Smalls has a pair and I got to try them.... They are the worst thing on the market. Due to them being like a low cut shoe at the back, if your foot comes out slightly you'll end up landing on a sharp edge. I think I've still got the bruse on the bottom of my foot.
Contact Will and see if he still has them and try for yourself..... You'll be better off getting a wake style board like the SS Darkside, Cab Custom or Naish Arcade putting boots on and getting used to it in all water conditions. If the baord is wide enough you'll cope just fine in choppy water.
Good luck

Thanks for the heads up Martyn. Im going to try going back to the cab sync straps and just keep on tightening them up wen they come loose.

Easy fix.... go get a set of laces (like a DC Shoes set). Cut out the old CR@PPY ones and relace the SYNC bindings. Tie them up like a pair of laces with a double knot and presto.... they won't slip.
GOOD LUCK

Put the syncs back on my board lastnight and cut and changed the laces. Got a quick ride in tonight and was stoked with the tightness and connection feeling with the board. But took them back off tonight as the metal mountings on the side dig in really badly once tightened up. Thanks again for the helpful advice Martyn! I got a pair of 2012 Lf luxury straps which i cant wait to use!
Thanks again and ride hard!

The other thing to try is put some surf wax under your heels. this will help with the slip factor on the Cab Boards
