After some concern by one certain kiter about snapping turtles at Milang, and despite no one actually getting a glance at such a creature, I can now confirm that yesterday while at Milang, I managed to not only spot but capture one of the beasts.
While it took me some time to take control of the animal, i managed to lure it with a large chunk of curly hair and a fluro yellow rash vest. Not sure what the attraction was but it took the bait like a shark to blood. It was ferocious in its struggle but I overcame the mammal with pure strength and a large baton.
You can see the picture in my avatar. As you can see they are a very angry creature indeed and should be approached with extreme caution. They are liable to attack at any time and seem to have a large appetite as they only surface around larger, hairier objects. Also, wearing a yellow rash vest of any type tends to attract the creatures. This obviously acts as a lure for the species.
Also on another note, it appears that the seagulls at Milang have been trained to tell kiters what the wind is doing. One kiter was observed asking the seagulls when the wind was coming and also asked the gulls to do a fly by in the wind so he could tell how much wind there was.
It appears that if the gulls are finding it hard to fly that there must be alot of wind hence you should put your kite up. This though can easily be misconstrued if the seagull is slowing down to land.
The gulls are not the best signals of wind strength because after consulting with one of the gulls about wind strengh, he proceeded to venture out into the lake only to find that there was hardly enough wind to dry the washing!!!
Beware of the snapping turtles and the accuracy of wind strength telling sea gulls.

Sully in most instances i would agree with you that Jordy is infact on Crack however after our Milang trip there did seem to b an abundance of snapping turtles, wind predicting gulls and one hairy git with nipple tassels doing his best impression of B1 or B2 (couldnt quite tell which) from the Bananas in Pyjamas!

Ha, I think it was B1 with the amount of hair that was floating around.!!! B1 obviously went through puberty a lot earlier than B2!!!
