Well I got out for a kite on Sunday for the first time in a long time.
Decided to head out to Thompsons Beach rather than Parham due to the westerly wind. Anyway had a great time there in what was perfect conditions and to me was as good as Parham but knowbody seems to kite there.
Has anybody else been out to Thompsons beach kiting before?
Another thing, the low tide doesn't seem as low as Parham, meaning there is less walking.

What time where you there doogs? Myself and 2 other kiters cruised by Thompsons, but we didn't see anyone there. We were way out though, probably 2 kms from the shore, but if your kite was flying we would have still seen it.

I agree, Thompsons is a good alternative to Parham in Westerlies and also in South-Easterlies. But don't be fooled by the tide - yesterday the water was blown in by the wind and even Parham wasn't much of a walk. Normally water is way out at Thompsons too.

Ah right ok. Thanks for the tip. I did notice that it was much muddier and weedier there than Parham as well so a long walk would definately be more tiring.
I got there at about 10am and left at about 3-330ish. Went in and out a bit for a break as I think it is impossible to kite for 5hrs straight.
My only complaint was that a couple little kids went through my gear on the beach. Didnt take anything, probably because nothing was in it.
