Hey everyone!

I'm a newby in the sport, but due to exams at uni, living about 50mins from the beach and work in the next three weeks, the likelihood that I'll get time to practice in the sea will be small

So, I was wondering if anyone has a spare old trainer kite that is not wanted anymore/ i could borrow for a few weeks/ buy? That way I can still practice some kite control on the local oval

Cheers, elise

Annaconda and Rays Outdoor have 'foil kites' that are very similar to a trainer kite for $15. They come with handles, not a bar. Just attach the lines to an improvised bar (piece of dowel/ stick!). The kites are less stable than proper trainers, but that's probably a good thing (learn to move towards them when they are stalling - like pushing your bar out). Keep them moving in the powerzone etc.

Hey Elise whereabouts are you that is fifty minutes from the beach? I'm from the barossa valley with a few other guys on here and our general stomping ground is Port Parham. Could be an option if you need someone to buddy up with.
