howdy SA'ers

coming across for womad & a wedding and was hoping for time on the water. couple of things -

is WAKSA m'ship (AKSA tag) enough to permit kiting in the SAKSA- permit areas?

is what i read about PFD's for real? similar rule applies in other states, but it's not enforced. would a floaty crash vest suffice?

cheers

I just wear an impact vest... I'm a noob so I just been to Largs Bay and there's no problems there with the vest I think, because a lot of kiters don't wear anything like it...

You will be lucky to see 1 in 5 wearing a compliant pfd.

No ideas on the WAKSA m'ship, but for my 2 cents you would have to be super unlucky to even get asked.
