Hi Gerard,

Myself & a mate of mine kite out of Fishermans bay (near Pt Broughton) when we can.
We are just starting in kiting as you are. The Bay is probably the closest water to Crystal Brook that you can kite.

There are also two new kiters in Pt Broughton who generally kite at Wallaroo.

PM me and I will give you my mobile number as we are heading to the bay this weekend. even if there is no wind it might be worth a drive to the Bay to chat over a beer about what we have experienced here so far.

Interesting question for a learner (me), Wade?

I cannot give advice, only information. It would depend on the rider.

Tide should be OK for this weekend.

My initial response would be a Yes, especially anything with a west in it.

NNE should be OK if you are comfortable going up wind.

There is a mangrove island 500 metres WSW of the Fishermans Bay point that would not be kite friendly (not shown on the pic).
The island is very easily missed if you are confident on your board.
(We learners have to consider being blown toward the island )

There is a HUGE expanse of flat, metre deep water to play in.

If you are a very experienced rider there is the challenge of the bay to the east from the shack area at Fishermans bay.It would make for an interesting excursion in pretty well any wind.

I will PM you my mobile No.
If you venture up this way we can give you a tour.
