hi all

Manage to get a small rip in my kite about 10mm long, any advice on where to get it repaired in Adelaide or how to do myself would be much appreciated

Hi,

If it's a rip in the rip stop material in the canopy. Go to Whitworth marine (Port Adelaide) they have stick on rip stop in the correct colour. Just stick it over rip.

Make sure its as flat as you can get it before sticking it on.

If rip is in Dacron part of the kite. Same process. (But you may have to run a line of stiching around the patch.

I can do this if you need it.

Jack flecther Sail, in Seacliff does heaps good repairs.. From small to major rebuilds

If you cant get to him, he does a pick and drop off service at Onboard Glenelg..

Got hold of ripstop missed enough wind last couple of days

Use an iron on the SILK setting and iron the patch on.... this helps melt the glue onto the kite and it'll hold for ages
