Looking like some solid n~nw~wnw winds this thursday,

combined with some solid swell (from swellnet forcast)-
At this stage wave heights on the South Coast are expected to build rapidly through Thursday, reaching 5-6ft+ at Knights and Middleton in the afternoon. The Dump should reach 3-4ft while Goolwa will be too big at 8ft+ or so. It will probably be smaller to begin with, but only experienced surfers should consider surfing on this day. The Mid Coast should push up from 1-2ft early on Thursday to 2-3ft+ by late in the day. There may even be 4ft waves in the afternoon thanks to the large incoming tide. As mentioned earlier though, fresh to strong N'ly winds will be better suited to the South Coast.

who is up for some wave chasing, or running away from, down south somewhere?

There looks like a few crew who are frothing for a wave session tomorrow. The plan is to check BOM and seabreeze observations in the morning (730ish) , swellnet cams, and then a destination will be set and i will send txt's out.
Will post again tonight once swellnet's wednesday forcast comes out.
If anyone else is interested in coming along let me know and i will keep you informed.

BOM
Thursday : Wind: N/NW 15/20 knots, increasing to 20/30 knots during the morning, west and south of Kangaroo Island, and throughout early afternoon. Winds shifting W/NW 25/35 knots west and south of Kangaroo Island late afternoon ahead of a SW change 25/35 knots extending throughout in the evening. Sea: 1.5 to 2.5 m rising to 2.5 to 3.5 m. Swell: W/SW 3 to 5 m.
SWELLNET
The South Coast will see the most benefit, with wave heights at Knights and Middleton pushing up from 3-4ft in the morning to 5-6ft by late in the day. Goolwa will probably become too big too surf in the afternoon with sets pushing into the 6-8ft range. The Mid Coast should see 1-2ft surf reach the 2-3ft range during Thursday afternoon with help from the incoming tide, although wind conditions look like better suited to the South Coast.
ME

Tentative plan is to head down south middleton goolwa way for a session before the wind gets nuts, then maybe another session on the mid on the way back as the swell pushes in there.
