Yep, much better than a board leash... By 400%!

If you want to pay for one that's cool otherwise I just PTA toad body dragging upwind. Having trouble seeing your board, do a little loft into the air to raise your perspective.

I'm too cheap to buy one!

i personally think they are a good idea but you should always become proficient in upwind body dragging first. I am going to look into making one of these instead.



I think the only downside to it is the lack of "cool factor" so if you are in this sport to look good then probably best you stick to upwind body dragging and ensuring your hair is just right

Definitely not here to look good :P nice idea with the floatie... I'll try that one... Yep my last two sessions I ditched the board and I've been practicing body dragging :D next time I'll go back to water start...

looks like one of them floaties you put on toddlers arms so they can float.
Add a velcro strap, you have a DIY version..

Just dont inflate it too much cause if you come down from a jump and hit a wave, you will bend your legs and break your balls!
