Has anyone gone out to Flinders Reef or any reef based spots around the Great Barrier Reef?

Fishing, diving, snorkelling, no one around, perfect weather!

What more could you want?

The question was has anyone been out there kiting, not "have you driven there"!

Geesh.

Oh well... at least trying to add quality discussions into the QLD thread.... very quite here. Everyone must have better things to do ay?

Yes i have been there countless times. absolutely ** spot i don't know why I even bother going back... Surely must be because I'm half a polley and always good to go for a grind out on the reef.

By the sounds of it, less traffic would be nice.

Id say no one around here has dun it ya no, would luv to get out there with a crew to kite it and surf it , check out how many reefs have the se/nw orientation just gottta get the planning right and bobs your uncle. Have a mate with a 8 mtr cat , don't think its big enough. Seaplane would be the go

Flinders is just north of Moreton right?. it is a fair run out in a boat but i cant see it being a bad spot to kite.

Try Potter reef ! Runs NE to Sw , great anchorage and the weather face gets ocean swells strait out of open ocean in the SE direction . Imagine a crystal clear pipeline that runs for several nautical miles! Awesome !
