Hi all, i will be visiting from France this coming Dec/Jan. I will have work-related things in Canberra on Jan 8th-10th, but i am planning to be in Australia from Dec 27th to Jan 19th. I would love some kitesurfing tips, such as: Where in Australia is there wind at this time of the year? Where would you recommend going? Would you recommend going on a road trip, or is there an (or several) amazing spot(s) to go and just stay for a week or more? I am thinking that i could spend Jan 11th-19th on the coast between Canberra and Sydney (provided there is wind at this time of the year), and Dec 27th-Jan 7th somewhere else (like the best place in Australia to kitesurf!), but this is all very flexible... Most importantly, it would be much more fun to experience this adventure with kitesurfing buddies... Anyone interested? Thanks a lot for any tip/answer!

Hi there, great seabreeze's that time of year here in Brisbane and it's quite central.
There are so many kiting destination's from Brisbane and not so many from CANBERRA.
If you are after strong consistent wind that time of year,then Perth is the place from my experience!

I'm in Perth, and almost every afternoon the thermals blow at about 20-25knots from early afternoon till sunset at that time of year
and there's great places to kite all up and down the coast here
