Hey Fellow Aussie Kiters.
I am heading down under for 3 weeks in April.
Its it worth my time lugging my kites downunder?
Any good spots down near Torquay or Barwon Heads?
Hope to Catch Some WInd and Waves....??
but not sure about the conditions that time of year.
I have a 14, 10, 7, not sure if I need them all?
any updates on conditions, that time of year would be great.
Hope to See you on the water!
Cheers Gippa

As cabstar said the conditions are usually frontal at this time of year and IMO are not really the best for consistent day in day out wind.. ( but you can still get all time days a bit cold maybe but strong winds and big surf ) Directions ranging from Northerly, N Westerly, South West, South East basically all over the place for the next 1-2 months or so before they tend more (slightly more ) consistently northerly.
THe best kite size to bring depends on too many factors..... what sort of kite, your weight, and will you be using surfboards or twin tips or both, I agree with cabstar and you should certainly bring the 10m but I would be leaning towards the 7m instead of the 14m...
Only reason is that when some of these fronts come through you get easily get days of 25 to 35 knots and the last thing you want to be doing is sitting watching while others are kiting. Not so bad having to sit and watch when it is only 15knots so I would probably ditch the 14m. ( then again you may be super keen and will enjoy having the 14m and getting out more often )
BUt.....If you can only bring one kite and you could easily get away with it go the 10m

Agree with Harry Potter on this one mate. Due to the frontal winds we'll be getting we can easily have 30+ knot days and as we all know these are the ones we'll be kicking ourself if we miss out on.
+ if you're going to have your surfboard down that way then you'll get some great sessions in on the smaller kites.
Definitely agree that a 10m would be the 1 off kite if you don't wanna lug too much around though.
