I know that's not what you asked for but maybe consider doing one on one lessons. I shared lessons as well to cut cost but really you end up with too much downtime watching your buddy muck around. If I were to take lessons again, I would get a trainer kite and the IKO manual and start on my own and then get private lessons. Your progression will be much faster. It's more expensive but if you already KNOW you REALLY want to kitesurf it's worth the investment. Good luck.
I had lessons at KR in StKilda and there were only 2 of us in the group and i found it good watching the other person and learning from there mistakes. Also Hugo, best instructor.
