Chiito 1. The beach From Port Melbourne all the way down to Carrum is pretty good just pick your spots where there is larger enough areas to launch and land safely and try to keep clear of the people on the beach. The Wind and weather has been weird so far this year (Australia wide) but the winds should settle down and be more consistant through the months of Jan and Feb. The sea breezes will get less consistant when we hit the Mid March. Late March and April you can kiss the winds goodbye especially in April. Then unless you like the cold water and Cold gusty North winds you will probably have to wait to October, early November. Thats when the water starts to heat up again, the snapper fill the bay and the onshore, crossshore winds strart again. Altona is also a great place to kite on an Easterly or Sth Easterly. When its blowing that way make sure you make the effort to get down there you wont regret it. Welcome to Victoria and good luck.
