Or too risky due to possible surfer aggression - aka Pointbreak style?

Have seen plenty of kiters there in SW winds - mainly in Winter. When it's like that there are no surfers interested in being out there anyway.

While there is not many surfers on a 25knot SW it is best to stick away and ride more accessible beaches around torquay. Too many dangers.

Hey Lofty,
Heaps of Guys Kite at Bells if its windy, Heaps of guys windsurf there too.
If its blown out no one surfs there and when its huge and windy I have seen Jason Polakow (Professional windsurfer JP) absolutely tear Bells apart.
I have also seen a couple of guys from a local shop kite Bells on the same day. It was not small it was friggen massive.
So when I say friggen massive we could not see the tips of the windsurf masts between sets and we were on the cliff.
Every once and a while a kite would fly up and over the sets. These guys had balls of steel.
One of them threw us the keys to their van and ask if we could drive it to point danger so they could do a down winder.
So they set off with us driving to the points along the way to make sure they did not need a rescue.
There is no surfer anger at Bells when its windy most guys avoid it as Point Danger is better and less hassle to rig, launch and kite.

If anybody has Tuesday off, its looking good.
Im easy on location, might go to Impossibles, 13th or even just Ocean Groove.
But it does look like a good strength and direction for Bells at this stage..

It's a sick spot to kite and you want to be out in 22+ as the wind drops out in the shore break from the cliffs. Risk are a bit high but if your advanced you should be ok. Surfers are definitely not an issue but if there are any out give them heaps of room. I wouldn't kite this spot alone and keep your kite low when coming in to avoid getting lofted near the cliffs.
