Aloha,

had an epic session in Rosebud today.. however as I came in, the kite line tool that I left on the beach dissappeared. It is basically a simple green bar with some lines on it, as pictured here:

If anyone accidentally took it, I would greatly appreciate if he drops me a line

Cheers

Does this really save time? Do you then check for crossed lines which would defeat the purpose of the tool?

I only had the chance to use it twice, and it did a good job! Before I got it I usually did not have bad trouble with line tangle, but when it happened, I was busy for half an hour or more..
Another advantage is that you can set up with little space on the beach, and also connect the lines to the back of the kite, so that the kite is always lying close to the water.
However when doing self launching I would check for crossed lines to be on the safe side, which would kinde defeat the purpose

Hey Knuti

Just be careful down at 'The Bud' re leaving anything on the beach.

There are some young adult good for nothings down there patrolling the carparks and beaches for any gear they can lift.

6 weeks ago, midweek, 3pm, I was only 30 meters away at the the car in the carpark on the beach putting a bit more air in the kite and left my board at the waters edge. 18yr old male skinny 60kgs has ran straight to my near new Naish Haze Board and bolted with it towards the Highway and car load of mates, Luckily me 100kgs chased him down as the wind was catching the board slowing him down and lucky for him he dropped the board just before he got to the Highway.

There were only 2 other blokes out kiting and i think the prospective thief assumed it was thier board.

Thanks for the info!
Man that sucks if you cannot even leave a second board on the beach..
I guess that kiters don't steal gear from each other, but for thieves the temptation is too big to just take an 800 bucks board. Even though it is stupid in the long run, because where should they sell it?

However there could be even worse things, because quite a few people "hide" their car keys at insecure places..
