Anyone know if there is a plan to dig out the river mouth at the eastern end of the Blackwood ?

I have noticed over the past couple of weeks the water level is getting lower in the kite area

hey mrex
do you mean the "natural" mouth to the east has silted up more? or the cut nearer to the parking and rigging areas has filled up again?

there wouldn't be a plan to dig out the rivermouth up to the east in my estimation.
you could try the shire of augusta margaret river works or environmental depts to see if they have anything on the go.
could end up with a dead water-ish situation up there for a little while until a heavy rainfall event has enough water to cut out both openings again.

The plan is to do nothing because they have no money.

The river mouth is now closed only the man made cut remains open
This is what the shire was hoping to happen in due course ie.
to get the river mouth back to where it was in the 60's
No laps anymore and definitely no plans to dig it out

well there you go, for a couple of years there the man made one would be cut and then fill up again while the other opening remained flowing - cheers for that handy.

and did old mate from cowaramup get his big catamaran out in time?
