I used to live in Wickham but still work at the Cape.

This time of year is pretty good windwise - the morning ESE is cross on at settlers which has flat water on mid tides and little wind waves on the higher tide. The beach is open and there aren't really any rocks until you get down towards sh!t creek.

Usually starts to pump around 8-9am through to 2-3pm for a standard pattern. Problem is that it tends to drop off in the arvo, so trying to get away from work before the wind drops can be a challenge.

There's a few local guys that kite around the area as well as a few that come over from Karratha and Dampier.

Send me a PM if you're keen for a kite.

Next few days are looking pretty good.

I've got Friday off, so probably going to head down to Settlers first thing and put a kite up if anyone's keen.
