Hi all, my 12m Fuse was stolen today (Sunday 11/11/12) at Pinnaroo out of my car - back window smashed. Keep your eyes open, scumbags are around.

Any distinguishing features i.e. repairs or name with rough location would be good to identify if it shows up on a website somewhere.

Hi Guys

Long story short.. New to Perth (4 weeks) I was meant to get some kite surfing lessons on Sunday but was cancelled ..

I decided to check out other kite surfers at Pinnaroo point.. The gf and I were parked beside each other me white vw van and hers a red Getz..

After watching for about 1 hour we went back to the cars and guess what the getz had its passenger door smashed in.. My gf is a nurse and they went through her work stuff.. took her lunch box and a apple...

Its very off putting when this sort of crap happens.. scumbags.. Have any of them ever being caught in action.

My first post and it was a negative post sorry!!

Real sorry to hear all this at my local. Really hope your gear turns up. It's a real pain in the arse. What can be done? Those council rent-a-cop guys looks like they drop in at various points of the day, which must help a bit.

Was down there yesterday, when i arrived, eyeballed a guy sitting in his car way off in the corner. Made sure he knew i was looking at him. Couldn't make out the number plate, older model commodore. By the time I started walking towards the beach he'd driven off.

Time to upgrade my car insurance and add windscreen cover!!
Lets all us keep our eyes open for "different" crowd hanging around the car park.

Seems to be a serious problem in Perth kiting spots with car break ins. What I do is make sure there is NOTHING of value or interest left in the car, and leave the windows part way down and the car open. It's unlikely these scumbags have the time or intelligence to hotwire a car. They're just looking for easy pickings. Not always possible to having nothing in your car, but it's worth taking stuff out before you go for a kite.

Time to approach council to have CCTV put up in these high risk spots. Its a common practise for councils to do so.
Could WAKSA assist/support such a request to council?

"There are already thousands of council and state government installed CCTV cameras in cities and towns across Australia watching people in public places, keeping check on anti social behaviour."
