I am planning to make my way down to either Augusta or Esperance from the 26th to the 31st.

Looking at the winds using wind guru:

and seabreeze

So far there isn't much indicators of +17 knot days in Esperance. Are the wind meters in land or accurate? Kitesurfing trip, winds are a must!

Also any recommendations for camping in Esperance?

I read in previous posts Flinder's bay is good for Augusta.

Went last year in february,

1 day out of 14... if you want reliable wind go north towards Gero... down south is hit and miss but it seems Augusta is better... make sure you have a 17M.

I'm affraid it's like that down there, bit f luck might be windy...

Seabreeze doesn't predict or measure the local wind properly for Esperance. Look at the Synoptic Charts. If there is a High (big circles) sat in the Bight then there will be a good SE seabreeze. If the high is 1030 or over it'll be cranking.

No worries. I'm sure you will have worked out that we are set for some great wind down here in the run up to the new year. Unfortunately the swell will be on the small / non-existent side, though I will be downwinding along the beachbreaks on thurs and fri arvos. You are welcome to join, crowds are not a problem here. If you are chasing flat water I could point you in the right direction, if you have 4WD.
