You've probably heard that Kitesurfing is now an Olympic sport of the future. I've been told that if you want to get involved, you will need to be represented by a national body. I've been told that for Kitesurfing...it is Yachting Western Australia.

Not sure if this is correct or not, however if that turns out to be the case, they will require you to have a "silver card". You can get one by joining up with a Yacht Club. Claremont Yacht Club welcomes any Kitesurfer who would be interested to join up for a cut-price fee and we can register you for a silver card. Alternatively, maybe WAKSA can affiliate itself with Yachting WA and do it themselves?

The national body is AKSA and I am sure there will be talks about this soon.
I expect WAKSA will stay on top of this and in touch with every member.
Thanks for the heads up and the offer.
