Hey,

I am living in Perth second year and last year was trying to learn kitesurfing on my own but managed to loose 2 boards:) At least was going upwind! So this year decided to learn with someone else! If anyone wants to join or give some tips, lessons, feel free to contact me:)

I have found that once you get to know people at your local spot that the majority is more than happy to help you out with some tips and tricks.
I kite in the Mandurah Area and the guys and girls down there are rad. I learnt different things from different people.

Good luck see you out there.

Mandurah is a little far away as I live in the city:)

Monkers, I have been usually in pelican point and attadale, haven't tried in the ocean yet- those sharks makes me scared;) And where is your usual spot?

Try safety bay, shallow water, plenty of people to help out.

I am mainly at Applcross and Point Walter as I live just nearby.. Great places to learn but the wind is generally better on the ocean..

Great idea to get down to Safety Bay if u can .. The wind is genially more consistent .. I go there heaps and I don't feel too scared of the biteys as you are generally inside of the reef therefore not as exposed as other places in the ocean... Really worth the drive !!

PM me if u wana car pool and head down to safety bay or catch up for a sesh at Applecross/ Pt Walter ... I gen go mid week as i work weekends .

Cheers.

Thanks Monkers, I do agree safety bay is quite good have been there few times. Would be great to go there some day, probably I will wait few weeks until the water and weather gets little warmer. Are you going to be in Kitesurf League on the weekend? Would say hello is yes.
