Hi everyone I have become obsessed with wanting to learn how to Kitesurf, I can watch you guys and girls for hours its so relaxing, and as it happens I have mentioned it too a few people who are also keen to learn. So where does a girl go from here. I thought I would organise a group lesson first, then get a training kite then practice, pratice practice and finally get some serious lessons under my belt, finances a bit low so cant rush these things but am very keen so just after some pointers....and if there are any other chics out there about to start learning too and wanting a buddy let me know.....the mates i have interested arn't always around and would love a regular buddy to team up with. Looking forward to getting out on the water and if there's events and stuff coming up let me know, anxious to get really involved in this wonderful world of Kiting:0)

Choose a shop/school to take lessons. Preferably close to your local ride spot, or just a good place to learn (saftey bay, any flatwater spot really). Get yourself some lessons, gear, and get competant, then hook up with a group of new Kiters as keen as you are.

Check out the "I'm new to Kiting, are you?" thread.

there's also a great group of chicks in the perth area called WACK
[email protected] is the contact for that.
We have a chick kite event 2nd sunday of every month during kite season.
There were 30 of us (girls) who went to kiting clinic called KB4Girls (google it)
Not sure where your staying but if you want to meet some chicks who do it there's a few of us at pinaroo who are keen to get more girls involved. Just had a new girl start the other week and she's loving it!

I'd reccommend at pinnaroo AKS for lessons. They have 2 chick instructors and it's a really nice environment to learn. I started with them a year ago and now there's a great group of people who all look after eachother there.

I'm usually down there any windy day just ask the guy in the AKS van (Darren) about the girl kiters and he'll probably send you my way.

Training kite did me wonders, not just once, but as often as you can for a few months, first at the footy oval then walking up and down the beach then when you get your lesson you will have a great feel for it and have it down in the first session and all your extra lessons will be more valuable. Plus you will be able to detangle your lines!!lol
get your own harness too.
worked for me and i am a super noob!!!
