I'm going to spend two weeks in Perth and I'm thinking what kite I need to be able to enjoy Perth's wind conditions. I'm 85kg and I have only one kite which is North Vegas 2007. I'm pretty confident with it up to 30knots, but I think I need to add another 9-meter kite to my quiver.
Is it really neccessary to have 9m kite in Perth or I can safely use my 12m old C-type Vegas?

doing perth on a 9m is like using a 1841.....you want a 17m...is like ss7 when all you need is SIP.

I prefer to use equipment which best suits customer requirements and budget. :)
Do you mean that Perth wind is running out of budget? :)

Most days when the seabreeze is working and you are at the spots that catch the best of the wind it will be 18-25 knots for a big part of the afternoon.
If you can only bring one piece of equipment, bring the kite that most matches that specification.
Of course, in a two-week period, anything can happen. It's more likely you would need a bigger kite then a smaller one. It can regularly go over 25 knots; hardly ever over 30 unless it's a storm. And even if it did go over 25, there will be parts of the day when it will be lower, i.e. at the beginning and end of the session.
Just my opinion, there's more chance of it being below 20 knots then above 25. There are plenty of hire places if it doesn't pan out as "normal".
Cheers.
