Hey gys im currently working up here and was wondering is anyone knows if its worth bringing my kite and gear like is there any decent spots north or south of port headland even heading karratha way???? and is the wind consistant enuf

We've been out (Karratha/Cossack) pretty solid each weekend for the last coupla months.

So Yep.

Check out the last 3 days pattern

The weekend before was 25-35 knots.
Water temp is 22ish too.

Hearsons Cove - Karratha
Dampier in front of the oval SW end of town
Settlers Beach - Cossack.
Cossack in the creek mouth
40 Mile beach south of Karratha
Take a boat out and open up all the island beach/sandbar possibilites

Spoilbank at Port Hedland is the place to be.

Can kite on easterly and westerly which are the prevailing winds and all tides although a low tide is best on the easterly side as it creates a lagoon which is great for flat water for tricks.

As long as you have a 4WD otherwise its a bit of a walk along the beach to the launch site.
