Heya,
Was out on the kite today at Pinnas, and was surprised by an official looking rescue boat cruising down the coast right through the zoo, with siren and flashy lights going...
Does anyone know why they had the siren going? Is this a shark alert? Or just trying to get attention so no- one hits them?

That was the whitfords sea rescue boat, another boat must have mayday'ed in that they had hit trouble, as for the siren it just means stay well clear of their way, they are in a hurry.
