I am new to this forum and I would be very grateful for your advice.
I have a 24 footer stingray: The boat is well maintained and in a very good condition with full safety gears.

I have been using it for one month for river cruising mainly. I am thinking about making the trip from Freo to Rotto.
We are a family of four, two adults and 2 children.
Will this vessel be able to do it? I will be leaving very early in the morning and return very early in the morning wind will be roughly between 17-15 knots and waves 1.5 m .
How difficult is it to navigate my way to Longreach bay? I do have a chart plotter.

I am very sorry if I asked many questions but I need to get this right otherwise the boss "my wife" will never let us do it again

Sounds like you need to do the trip with a skipper who knows what they are doing. Maybe take your boat and get some sea time in before attempting this trip. Experience is a wonderful thing.

Your 24 Stingray will lap it up.

Less than 1.5m and 15 knots is ideal for your first few trips, although your boat will handle much more than this, but it becomes uncomfortable.

Longreach, like many of the bays, is a bit of a tight channel to get into, you need to stay right on the lead lights and they'll guide you in. If heading to the north side of Rotto, there's a difficult to see marker off the NE of the island to navigate around.

If coming from Freo - I would suggest going on a nice day and following the other boats from the heads into Thomson's. You can explore from there if you wish. Other boats will be heading from Thomson's to the north side and you can follow them on the inside of Transits. From here you can note where the boats from Freo to the north side are tracking, most go fairly wide, see if you can find that marker to the NE.
