been thinking about signage, safety etc and have half developed the following idea,
quote:
Website will have things like:
contact details
site guides
right of way rules
WAKSA constitution
links to AKSA website, etc
anything else that will make kiting safer and more enjoyable in WA
or are you already on to it -is this what you mean by site guides Ian?
On the WAKSA website a list of local kiting area's perhaps with links to maps to avoid 'from the third power pole to...' type descriptions. This might snare some of our international/interstate visitors.
I'm not suggesting giving away secret spots, more of a guide to popular metro/regional area's ie; where we are likely to come in contact with the public/authorities or otherwise non obvious hazards.
Common sense suggests surfing where others are already flying and talking to locals but if common sense were that prevalent we wouldn't be going through this signage situation.
I guess they could also be posted on kitebeaches or seabreeze.
I'll try and put something together as a demo but I should be doing some work :~)
