Firstly, sorry.
A massive gust had just hit, I'd lost my edge and I was hammering downwind just trying to stay on my board. Next thing I know, my kite is almost on top of yours. Fortunately I managed to pull back, and our kites just brushed. Unfortunately, the brush caused enough friction to melt through two of my bridle lines, and my kite went down.
Secondly, thanks.
You came back out, grabbed my board and took it into shore and then made sure you kept an eye on me to make sure I self rescued back to shore safely. I made it back fine, kite intact and only a bit of a tangle to sort out in my lines.
I didn't see you when I made it back up the beach to where I started, but I know that my mother spoke to you when she went searching for my board. I'm glad that no damage was done to your kite. Once again, sorry my kite hit yours, and thanks for grabbing my board and looking out for me. I owe you one.
Matt
