Hello everyone. I am writing this, bouncing up and down in excitement, because in 24 hours I am flying from London Gatwick to Perth.

I am arriving in Perth this Sat 2nd Feb.

I'm out for a wedding on the 23rd but will be on the water as much as possible before then.

I am well up for any advice re spots(I'm staying in Inglewood). If anyone wants to join me on any downwinders then let me know. My number in Oz is 0450 318-467.

Well after a nice little intro session on Sunday there is no wind and what little there is, is Easterly. What is going on?

Do I have to drive down to the South Coast to get on the water. Or is there somewhere closer that will work?

Ed it's called a normal summer pattern!

It's not unusual for Perth to get "troughed out" for 5 or 6 days at a time. One thing's for sure, the seabreezes WILL return.

How long are you prepared to wait?

In the mean time you can kite the easterlies. Take a drive around the river, you'll see kiters out if it's blowing...
